Myersville - King Mark announced a rejuvenation project for Myersville Plaza and the Myersian Sea waterfront. The Plaza and many other parts of Myersville will be pressure washed to give them a fresh look. The rocks that were put in place during the 2017 redevelopment have been removed, and in their place decomposed granite has been added. The rocks from 2017 had been found to collect fallen leaves and other detritus too easily. The decomposed granite will not only be easier to keep clean, it adds a beach area for residents to enjoy and gives the waterfront a cleaner, more modern look. During the project, foliage which had become overgrown was removed and replaced with day lilies and calla lilies to complement the clean modern new look. The Myersian Parks and Wildlife Ministry has also stocked the Myersian Sea with two new fish species in an experimental program to provide more biodiversity and aesthetic appeal to the sea. The paradise fish (Macropodus opercularis) and blue gourami (Trichopodus trichopterus) are two colorful fish that both hail from Southeast Asia, but a careful risk analysis determined that they pose no threat to the other species in the Myersian Sea, or of escaping and becoming established in other nearby waters.

Myersville - The Myersian National Zoo and Aquarium announces the opening of "The Amazon Rainforest Experience," This exciting new exhibit recreates the bank of a clearwater stream of the Amazon River in Brazil. The land portion contains 12 species of plants, including palms and bromeliads, and a waterfall that cascades into the aquatic portion, where there are 5 more species of plants, and 5 species of colorful and interesting fish, with more to come. This exhibit replaces the former Indo-Pacific Brackish aquarium display. The inhabitants of that display were transferred to other institutions, except for a hermit crab that is housed in a new temporary exhibit, "Hermit Crabs of the Gulf Coast," for a limited time before being reintroduced into the wild sometime in March 2020. The Amazon Rainforest Experience is now the flagship exhibit of the Myersian Zoo and Aquarium, which also includes the outdoor botanical garden, wildlife sanctuary, and Myersian National Seashore. The Zoo and Aquarium shares space with the National Museum which houses artifacts from around the world, as well as fossils and geological specimens. A grand opening event for the Amazon Rainforest Experience will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020, and will feature Brazillian food and drink, and a screening of the 1992 film "Medicine Man" starring Sean Connery and Lorraine Bracco.

Myersville - King Mark announced the completion of a beautification project including the demolition of the old, crumbling Myersville plaza and waterfront and replacing it with a steel-reinforced concrete concrete plaza and waterfront, completed on April 7. This project required the dismantling and reconstruction of the ancient city wall. The other major component of the project was the complete repaving of Highway 1, replacing it with steel-reinforced concrete. Other components include the replacement of the crumbling pea gravel at the entrance of the Royal Palace with beautiful ceramic tile made to look like hard wood, and the replacement of the crumbling royal road with a new steel-reinforced concrete road with attractive brick lining between sections.

Myersville - This past Sunday King Mark announced the completion of a major construction project to upgrade the main agricultural district. Formerly soil erosion in the raised bed had been held in check by walls made of treated wood. Not only had this wood sagged noticeably over the years, but there were also some concerns about the chemicals used to treat the wood. Though the wood was separated from the soil by a triple-layered liner, this layer had begun to break down. The new retaining walls are made from concrete brick. "Not only are these new brick walls much more attractive and durable than the original wooden walls, they leave no question for the safety of the Myersian food supply," said King Mark on Sunday

Myersville - King Mark today announced that Myersia had entered into an accord of mutual recognition with Dagostinia. This is the first such agreement between Myersia and a foreign power, and marks the beginning of Myersia's official recognition within the community of micronations. King Mark said in his official statement "Dagostinia is a logical international partner for Myersia, with our two nations' shared commitments to tolerance, fighting hatred, respect for the environment, and micronational food production. I believe this is the beginning of a lasting era of amity between our two great lands."
